HAP-PY NEW YEAR!!!!!

well today is my last day here in the states, for a while. my travel partner is not doing well. here's what my guide book says about the ashram (yoga-type hostel place) where i'm trying to stay:

the 12-acre ashram is located at the edgoe of a national park and wildlife preserve - at night you can hear the coughlike roars of lions from across the lake.

and

swim at the ashram's prive beach (sounds nice so far, right?) at your own risk - signs warn to beware of crocodiles, but residents will assure you that they only come out at dawn and twilight. there's a small library and a bookshop selling sivananda writings.

um, does anyone else think that the library/bookshop comment should get its own paragraph? also, i wasn't aware that i was signing up for lions and crocodiles and such. but alas, the one-way ticket has been purchased. and after my initial fear, i am now feeling so excited and so ready for this trip! the best thing is that i have NO IDEA what to expect!

miss,

have a safe flight, can't wait to follow your journey on the blog. if it is half as interesting as my blog, you'll be doing alright.

travel smart, fair winds and following seas until you return.

love, w

rooski, the adventure begins, i'm excited for you and a wee bit jealous :) ... agree with dad and will's sentiments, though i would urge you to aim for a loftier goal than will's blog (zing!). also, if you encounter any crocs, i hear that they're defenseless if you flip them on their backs.

hi miss, matt pie is currently working out the ability not to put a new post on this blog, which really takes the whole "log" out of the b"log" concept if you know what i mean. until then i leave comments and not posts which leaves me feeling rather empty indeed. anyways, hope the vegetable curry is out of this world there and you have found some excellent food finds, as you can see i'm hungry right now. anyways, miss you much and hope your flight went well, can't wait to hear from you, love,w
